Banderas Bay and Puerto Vallarta Events –

From live music to cultural festivals, charity events and special interest group meetings, there’s always something fun to do in Puerto Vallarta. Events in the Banderas Bay area encompass a broad range of interests and enthusiasms covering everything from Mariachi, Cultural, International Film, Fine Arts, and Gourmet Festivals to Fishing, Tennis and Golf Tournaments.
Temperatures are heating up and so is the kitchen at Daiquiri Dick’s, thanks to its newest Summer Sizzle menu, ‘Flavors from the Grill.’ Through July 15 this popular beachside restaurant is giving diners a choice for each of this special menu’s three smokin’ hot courses for just $399 pesos.
Summer gatherings continue to be a huge success with local expats, so ExPats in Vallarta are continuing their full schedule of events during the Summer months this year. During the month of July, ExPats in Vallarta will be having two Happy Hour gatherings and two ExPats Dinners. Join the fun!

An ambitious new Mexican food and art festival, that is expected to become an annual event, is being launched July 13-16, 2017 in San Miguel de Allende. According to event organizers, the ‘Market of Arts & Gastronomy’ will be the grandest and most dynamic food and art festival in Mexico.
Act II continues to Rock the Summer with the premier of several brand-new shows, the return of Bob’s Karaoke Party, and the new ‘Spotlight on Vallarta’ series. In addition to all this, they’re holding auditions for the Winter season’s shows, like the hit Broadway musical ‘Xanadu.’
From specialty foods and natural remedies to unique jewelry, clothing, accessories, art and home decor, the Banderas Bay area’s many weekly markets offer the best of Puerto Vallarta. While many of these weekly markets have folded up their tents for the summer, a few are still open.
Summer is heating up in the Riviera Nayarit, and Mexico’s Pacific Treasure has a variety of smoking hot events planned for July. Sports dominate the calendar, but there is plenty going on in the music, nature and beauty pageant arenas that are sure to spark your interest.

Fishing teams with up to four members per boat are invited to participate in the Bahía de Banderas Sport Fishing Club’s 11th International Tuna and Marlin Fishing Tournament, which will take place July 20-22 at the Vallarta Yacht Club in the Paradise Village Marina in Nuevo Vallarta.
After a 17 country world tour, Corona Sunsets is coming back to Mexico for its 5th edition. This spectacular music festival will be held on July 22 on San Pancho beach, an hour’s drive north from Puerto Vallarta. According to Casa Cupula, it will be well attended by Vallarta’s LGBT community.
During the first two weeks of August, the annual Corn Festival in Jala & Xalisco, Nayarit, a region where the largest corncobs in the world are grown, gives everyone a chance to experience a very Mexican tradition. This year’s Feria del Elote is set to take place from August 6–15.
The director of the Office of Conventions and Visitors, Miguel Andrés Hernández Arteaga, recently reported that, with the goal of strengthening the destination’s reputation as a paradise for sports tourism, 16 sporting events have been scheduled to be held in Puerto Vallarta this year.

Puerto Vallarta-based actor/director/producer Alain Perreault will star in the first-ever local production of Jonathan Tolins comedic masterpiece, ‘Buyer & Cellar’ in December 2017, under the direction of Cesar Bravo. Perreault plays multiple roles in this extremely funny one-man show.
