Tianguis Lo de Marcos readies for Season Six
Now into its SIXTH Season, The Tianguis Lo de Marcos will reopen on November 2nd from 9.00 and until 2.00 pm.
The Tianguis Lo De Marcos is set in a private courtyard, just off Luis Echeverria which provides a comfortable outdoor shopping and socializing experience for everyone.
Starting in November, you will be able to buy such items as Locally Grown and Organic products, everyone’s favorite… Talavera Pottery, stunning jewelry, Hand Blown Glass, Freshly Baked breads, pies and cookies, Hand Woven Linens, Clothing, Salas and loads of other Unique Artisanal items.
¨This Season we are excited to have Live Music from 11.00 to 1.00, featuring several local Performers” said Armando Contreras, the Event´s Organizer.
The Tianguis is about a lot more than shopping; it is a total community experience where friends gather in the Food Court and catch up in the isles. Each week brings new visitors and new vendors so there is always something or someone new to see!
The tradition of buying and selling in temporary markets set up either on a regular basis is a strong feature in much of Mexican culture and has a history that extends far back into the pre-Hispanic period.

The Tianguis was conceived at the hands of Luis Armando Contreras Galvan, the Owner of Galvan Real Estate and Services, the town´s only Full Service Real Estate and Rental Agency.
¨Over the course of the last 5 seasons, the Tianguis has brought more attention to the Pueblo of Lo de Marcos which has resulted in increased openings of retail stores and restaurants not only in our downtown area but throughout the pueblo in general” states Armando Contreras.
Held each Saturday, November 2nd to April 9th from 9:00 am until 2:00pm, this weekly event expects to continue its growth and history of drawing visitors from around the Banderas Bay.
