Restaurant Review – El Café
El Café in Lo de Marcos is a great corner spot with an explosive support. Located at the intersection of Luis Echeverria Alvarez and Colima. The café is one block east of the plaza. It is open most days. 7:00 to 3:00 Monday through Saturday and 9:00 to 2:00 on Sunday. The service is great, and the selection of coffees, drinks, and food is abundant. Some choices include Americano coffee, Expresso, Ice Café, Mexicano, Macchiato, Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, Decaf, Frappe, Glace, Hawaiano, Panna, Romano, Smoothie, Chocolate, Herbal Infusion. The pastries and sandwiches are fresh daily.
There are many choices of hot and cold drinks. The accompaniments are delicious and nutritious. Coffee beans are fresh. Tea choices are abundant, and there are different treats every day.
Art shows are on display and changing often. You can simply enjoy them or choose one to purchase and take home. Often there is music at the front door where you can sit at a street table and watch the world go by. There are two sets of chairs with a bistro table to afford health and privacy. Free Internet is provided for patrons.
Two and four-legged friends are welcome. Romina, Pau’s dog, is friendly to all animal acquaintances that come through the door. 
Owner/Operator, Pau Paredes from Mexico City built El Café with small-town metropolitan flair. The quality shines through the staff and delicacies.
Pau is a third-generation explosives expert with the family company, GRUPO-PROMOTOR-HUMUS-SA-DE-CV They are currently working on the new Highway 200.
If it is not blowing up a mountain or creating exciting new coffee drinks, Pau is now dreaming of a cantina above the café. Her plan is to serve you, morning, noon, and night.
