What is a Workation?

I’m not entirely sure “workation” is an official word, but it’s the perfect way to describe my recent trip. I had the chance to film a brand new video for Hacienda Villa Bella, which is one of the most stunning villas in Punta el Custodio. I was lucky enough to stay there for two nights.

The property is truly breathtaking, with its coastal views and elegant details making every shot feel effortless.

After wrapping up the filming, I headed to Tepic to handle a lawsuit and complete the liquor-license renewal. I spent three nights there tackling the paperwork and meetings. In the moments between appointments, I managed to squeeze in a little shopping for everyday essentials — a small but welcome break from the more serious side of the trip.

From Tepic I continued on to Aticama to visit our office and catch up with the team in person.

While I was in the area, I also took time to view several new listings for sale in the charming little coastal village of Santa Cruz.

It was great to reconnect with everyone and see the market firsthand.

All in all, this workation let me blend real work with a bit of travel and downtime. It turned out to be both fun and highly productive.

I’m already thinking this could become an annual tradition — not just for me, but for other key members of the team at Galvan Real Estate and Services.
