It is on the Pacific Ocean, not the Banderas Bay. The beach is long enough to afford strong ocean waves for surfing at one end and peaceful small waves at the other end that are swimmable for all. There are two lava outcroppings that include tide pools for adventure seekers. A river flows to the sea around an estuary with many species of birds. You can hop aboard a tour boat right down on the beach and enjoy a day of Fishing or exploring the nearby beaches many of which are only accessible via the water.
