Fundraiser Event Chili Cook Off report

Earlier this year, #TeamGalvan embarked on our most ambitious fundraising effort yet and that was to raise funds for an ultrasound machine for the Medical Clinic here in town. With the extensive financial support from many of you and to the mule that got the equipment into the country and delivered it to the Dr. — WE MADE IT!!!

Hi, buen día everyone!
The ultrasound equipment has arrived to us, here at the clinic in Lo de Marcos. Couple of days ago we received it in good shape, all perfect brand new conditions and ready to use.
I wanted to let everyone involved know about this good news, and thank all of you once more for this amazing gift/donation to the clinic and our patients.
So far, in this couple of days we have already been able to use it and diagnosed an incarcerated/strangulated hernia on a 65 years old patient which is an immediate surgical emergency, patient made it on time to the hospital and received specialized attention on time. We diagnosed 2 other non-incarcerated hernia in different patients and dismissed a gallbladder obstruction diagnosis on a 21 y.o. patient.
I still have a lot of skills and knowledge to build with this new equipment and yet it’s already making a difference in our practice in Lo de Marcos.
The equipment purchased is a Clarius (that’s the brand) C3HD3 (model), it has an amazing software, image quality and features that fit just perfect for the needs of daily practice and emergencies, quick diagnosis, easy to share images and video stream with specialists out of town.
I’m still setting up all this features, learning to master them and studying deeper into the ultrasonography world.
