At last the long awaited Easter Holiday is right around the corner and you want to travel to the beach… Right? I implore you to stay home and also hope that the local businesses in the coastal towns will close for the holidays. I know financially we all rely heavily on the Easter Holidays to give us the money to withstand the Summer months but, this year I am asking all small business owners in the region to rethink this plan. This year we have a serious virus in our midst that is literally crippling other Countries and their economies. Let’s learn from their experience and close up shop early and tightly. For travelers, the best advice I can give is to stay home.
Don’t take that vacation to the coast, instead stay safe and at home. While the number of people confirmed to be infected with Covid-19 in Mexico remains low at 82 in comparison with many other countries, the national number has risen quickly in recent days.
We don’t know what this all means, but the best advice being given in all counties is to practice Social Distancing in order to keep yourself away from the virus and to reduce your contacts to as few as possible.
At this point, I am sure you are all thinking… Why is a Real Estate office who for years has been telling me to visit and to purchase a property in Riviera Nayarit and whose business relies on Tourism now telling me to stay home and not potentially go to Los Ayala or Lo de Marcos, where we have offices? It’s simple, I care more about the health of my team and our home towns than about an added influx of much needed funds.
I care about the health of all of us, locals and visitors and my dream is that we are untouched by this virus. Travelers and Businesses in Coastal Riviera Nayarit, please listen to my words and plan accordingly, the future of this beautiful area is in our hands. I believe in this to the point where, I have closed all of the Galvan locations for the foreseeable future. In the coming weeks, I will have to of course re-evaluate when to re-open. All of the members of our team are working remotely from their homes at this time.

I commend you on you fore sight and forward thinking . Health is everything and the last thing you want is to have people get sick because money becomes more important . Remeber this too shall pass . Make sure you keep your health so you may enjoy you and your loved one’s future!

This virus is world wide. Using caution now will be better for Mexico and all less affected countries in the long run. Knowlege and treatmet is still new. Lets not make it worse.
