RE – Taste of Lo de Marcos
As we are down to the final days before the 7th Annual Event this Sunday, I want to share a little something of the events History with you.
Seven years ago when we first began planning this event we realized the need for outside event sponsors so that the entire production cost of the 
Fundraising event did not fall in the lap of Galvan Real Estate and Services.
We were blessed to have received the Support of Novamar Insurance and The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau.
With their Donations, we were able to cover some of the larger expenses and have more of a donation remaining at the end of the event to split between Amigos de Lo de Marcos and the Citizens Action Committee.
This year, all of us at Galvan looked in earnest at the donations raised from this event and realized that the event while fun to produce, at the end of the day, the donations were not as significant to the Beneficiaries as we liked. And in no way matched with energy Team Galvan puts into the planning and execution of this event.
So, this year we decided to change our event structure. Each of the Food Vendors are now donating 20% of their sales to our selected organizations and we reached out to fellow business owners in town for support of the event.
I am happy to say that the requests were met with tremendous support from many of the town’s merchants.
Being is a small community, each of us as Business Owners are keenly aware of the fine works from each of these two charities.
We ask that you support these establishments that have chosen to support our community in this direct manner.
