It’s a Wrap! – 7th Annual Taste of Lo de Marcos

“It just gets bigger and better each year.”, said Elida Johnson, when asked what she thought of this year’s Annual Taste of Lo De Marcos. “You hit it out of the park this year.” said, Linda Phillips.

In past years the event was getting more and more crowded so this year, the Organizers took a leap of faith and moved the event to the town Plaza, a venue more than 4 times larger in size than the previous year’s location.

This year’s event was packed with at some times standing room only for partygoers attending this 7th annual event in Lo De Marcos. So the move was a great success!

With the tree live musical groups – Caravane, Batala and Cucha Cucha the event in addition to wonderful food was nonstop music. Also present were a few hand selected number of local Artisans with hand made products available for sale.

Over 500 people attended the Taste of Lo de Marcos event this past Sunday, February 23rd in the Lo de Marcos town plaza.

This annual Fundraiser for Citizens Action Committee and Amigos De Lo de Marcos has become the Party of the Season in the North Bay and all of the Event Organizers and Beneficiaries shout out a big Thank You to all of you who support this event, together we all make it the success that it is.

The event is organized by Galván Real Estate and Services together with the support of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB), via the Nayarit Tourism Promotion Trust (Fiprotur).

Armando Contreras who in addition to running Galvan Real Estate is the current President of Amigos de lo de Marcos and he summed the entire event up well when he stated: “It brought me much joy to see so many people supporting this charitable event. When a community unites, all is possible.”
