Post Covid Update

In Lo de Marcos and in reality all of Riviera Nayarit, we are returning to a pre Covid level of activity.
However, life has personally changed for me in several ways. I may not return to being the host of a monthly dinner party at my house with upwards of 25 guests. My gatherings now are much smaller and grandiose, yet still attract wonderful people, but … no more than 8 at a time. It’s a shame to see all of those tables and chairs on my patio sitting empty, but it is the current reality. Maybe I should allow a friend decoupage them and they can become works of art?
I likely will not be going to the movies or any indoor venue anytime soon and for my shopping I have redirected my searches from in store to online.
I don’t feel comfortable going in to a store.
Yes life has changed but not for the worse.
**I have found some great restaurants in Lo de Marcos that offer outside seating or complimentary Home Delivery. Two of my current favorites are La Quinta that .has some outstanding salads and Chef Alessandro at El Piacere who will take your order and deliver it to you to enjoy at El VInatero from where you can order a glass or two of wine to enjoy with your meal.
**I am designing and installing a raised vegetable garden in my house where I can grow peppers, tomatoes and onions. Just perfect to a supply on hand for a household that loves to whip up a bowl of pico de gallo at a moment’s notice.
**Real Estate/Rentals and Property Management are good and each day, I give thanks that we are able to employ 13 Full Time and one Part Time employee. I need to increase this number to our pre-Covid staff levels of 17 Full time and two part time employees. I am finding however, that Covid seems to have made people less likely to want to work. I don’t know why this is, however it is close to impossible to find a candidate to fill any position and we have several openings. If you have a friend, neighbor or grown child that is looking for employment, please send them my way.
**Vacationing for me has changed as well. I used to really enjoy vacations in the big cities such as Tepic, Guadalajara, Mexico City and Colima. Now I look for less congested and private places such as Mismaloya, Punta el Custodio, Barra de Navidad, Manzanillo, Playa los Cocos, Playa las Tortugas and Aticama. Each of these destinations have a unique beauty and appeal that you really should check out.
